Built right, made to work
The materials behind the mark.
We choose materials that earn their place on the jobsite — strong, balanced and built to take abuse. Here's what goes into an AP Tool Co. tool.
What we build with
- Drop-forged, heat-treated steel — striking faces and claws that resist chipping and deformation
- Chrome-vanadium alloy — wrenches and sockets with high strength and corrosion resistance
- Brushed aluminum — lightweight squares and levels with crisp engraved scales
- Ballistic canvas & full-grain leather — bags, belts and rolls that survive the trade
- Impact-resistant over-mold grips — anti-vibration comfort that holds up to sweat and solvents
Caring for your tools
| Steel tools | Wipe dry after use; a light oil prevents rust |
| Measuring tools | Keep blades and faces clean; don't let tapes snap back hard |
| Leather & canvas | Brush off debris; condition leather occasionally |
| Cutting tools | Replace blades when dull; store retracted |
